Hello!

I'm Ellen and I have over 25 years of working with young people and their families in community, school and clinical settings.

I have a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the University of Cambridge, and am an accredited member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

In addition to my core qualification, I have completed training in Functional Family Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for Adolescents, Dyadic Developmental Therapy, and Theraplay - all modalities that aim to help parents/carers and their children to develop better emotional co- and self- regulation, and improve communication and connection within families.

As a qualified teacher with a psychotherapeutic understanding and approach, I have helped schools to support families who have young people presenting with Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA). I have also completed safeguarding training as well as CPD on trauma-informed practice, and neurodevelopmental differences (including autism and ADHD).

I am fully insured, and am registered with the DBS update service, and Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
